BIG DAY!!!!

A little aprehensive at first.
Okay...I'm listening...Your're going to do what?
I'm not so sure about this.Okay...not so bad.
My little girl is growing up! Yesterday she got her hair cut for the first time! Well, the first time in a beauty shop anyway. Story...back in October she came home from daycare with gum stuck in her hair. I cut it out...luckily it was at the very end of her hair. I, like any good mother, saved that hair---gum wad and all---and put it in a Ziploc bag. However, yesterday was officially the first haircut. She wasn't so sure at first, but she warmed up. Now all I hear is," I got my hair cut. It looks so pretty!" Funny---but I don't have a "baby" anymore...I have a little girl. So sad.

O Christmas Tree

Here is our beautiful Christmas tree. We got it this past Tuesday...I know, a little late, but Josh just finished his finals and he was STRESSED! The last thing I wanted to do was add more stress by demanding a Christmas tree. Anyway, it is a beautiful tree but a little small. We always get our tree from The Ya-Ya brothers (I don't know why they are called that because I don't think that's their name) but this was the last tree they had. It is 6.5 to 7 feet tall which in a normal house would be a perfect size. However, our house has 11 foot ceilings so it looks SO SMALL! We normally get a 9 foot tree. Nonetheless, it is beautiful and Copeland thinks it's the most wonderful thing. Hopefully she will let us take it down by Valentine's Day!
:)

Poor Josh...part 2

I really have the best, most patient husband in the world. Here he is being Copeland's "baby". Every night she makes him lie down on this mattress (it's the one that was in her crib...we now use it as a mat in case she falls off the end of the bed...don't laugh..it's happened twice!). Then she covers him up with a blanket and feed him his bottle! Then she sits on her table and tells him a story. The story goes something like this..."Once you have a bug on your arm. I need to blow it off. (She blows it off). The end.". Too cute!

Merry Christmas

Last weekend we had the Copeland Family Christmas get-together in Philadelphia. Unfortunately I didn't take many pictures, but here is one of Copeland in front of one of Aunt Mary's trees. Merry Christmas...and Happy Birthday Jesus (as Copeland likes to say).

Merry Meridian and the Christmas Parade

Notice the red boots!

How funny is this?!

We went to Merry Meridian to cheer on my sister. Stacy is a teacher (she teaches the "smart kids" in Explorer) and her class was in a competition for Merry Meridian. They were responsible for a window display and the theme was "World Peace". It was amazing to see what those kids had done. I wish I'd gotten a picture of it, but I didn't. However, the won for best over-all theme! Yea!!! Then we went to the Meridian Christmas Parade. It was really good...much better than I thought it would be. Norman (Josh's brother-in-law) had us set-up right on the street with a front row view. He had even bought Happy Meals for the kids! I was a really fun day and Cope was pooped at the end.

Remember when.....

Remember when you rode those ride-ons in the mall and it was the most fun you had ever had?! Copeland LOVES those rides. However, inflation has even come to the rides. When we were small weren't they a quarter a ride? Now those suckers cost 75 cents a ride! RIP-OFF...but it's worth every penny to make Copeland this happy. I love the top picture because that's a Egg-Man who sits in one of the rides. He was Copeland's best friend at that moment. :)

"Hunting" with Daddy

My nephew, Matthew, outgrew this nifty little number so Copeland inherited it. I, of course, added the much needed work boots. It was too cute to see Cope in this outfit because all she could say is, "I'm goin' huntin' with Daddy"! She even took her pow-pow (little pink metal gun). When they got back from our farm so told me she "pow-powed" two deer! She's been around too many hunters because she didn't even see a deer according to Josh! :) She was ready though....and cute as a button.
