BIG DAY!!!!

A little aprehensive at first.
Okay...I'm listening...Your're going to do what?
I'm not so sure about this.Okay...not so bad.
My little girl is growing up! Yesterday she got her hair cut for the first time! Well, the first time in a beauty shop anyway. Story...back in October she came home from daycare with gum stuck in her hair. I cut it out...luckily it was at the very end of her hair. I, like any good mother, saved that hair---gum wad and all---and put it in a Ziploc bag. However, yesterday was officially the first haircut. She wasn't so sure at first, but she warmed up. Now all I hear is," I got my hair cut. It looks so pretty!" Funny---but I don't have a "baby" anymore...I have a little girl. So sad.

O Christmas Tree

Here is our beautiful Christmas tree. We got it this past Tuesday...I know, a little late, but Josh just finished his finals and he was STRESSED! The last thing I wanted to do was add more stress by demanding a Christmas tree. Anyway, it is a beautiful tree but a little small. We always get our tree from The Ya-Ya brothers (I don't know why they are called that because I don't think that's their name) but this was the last tree they had. It is 6.5 to 7 feet tall which in a normal house would be a perfect size. However, our house has 11 foot ceilings so it looks SO SMALL! We normally get a 9 foot tree. Nonetheless, it is beautiful and Copeland thinks it's the most wonderful thing. Hopefully she will let us take it down by Valentine's Day!
:)

Poor Josh...part 2

I really have the best, most patient husband in the world. Here he is being Copeland's "baby". Every night she makes him lie down on this mattress (it's the one that was in her crib...we now use it as a mat in case she falls off the end of the bed...don't laugh..it's happened twice!). Then she covers him up with a blanket and feed him his bottle! Then she sits on her table and tells him a story. The story goes something like this..."Once you have a bug on your arm. I need to blow it off. (She blows it off). The end.". Too cute!

Merry Christmas

Last weekend we had the Copeland Family Christmas get-together in Philadelphia. Unfortunately I didn't take many pictures, but here is one of Copeland in front of one of Aunt Mary's trees. Merry Christmas...and Happy Birthday Jesus (as Copeland likes to say).

Merry Meridian and the Christmas Parade

Notice the red boots!

How funny is this?!

We went to Merry Meridian to cheer on my sister. Stacy is a teacher (she teaches the "smart kids" in Explorer) and her class was in a competition for Merry Meridian. They were responsible for a window display and the theme was "World Peace". It was amazing to see what those kids had done. I wish I'd gotten a picture of it, but I didn't. However, the won for best over-all theme! Yea!!! Then we went to the Meridian Christmas Parade. It was really good...much better than I thought it would be. Norman (Josh's brother-in-law) had us set-up right on the street with a front row view. He had even bought Happy Meals for the kids! I was a really fun day and Cope was pooped at the end.

Remember when.....

Remember when you rode those ride-ons in the mall and it was the most fun you had ever had?! Copeland LOVES those rides. However, inflation has even come to the rides. When we were small weren't they a quarter a ride? Now those suckers cost 75 cents a ride! RIP-OFF...but it's worth every penny to make Copeland this happy. I love the top picture because that's a Egg-Man who sits in one of the rides. He was Copeland's best friend at that moment. :)

"Hunting" with Daddy

My nephew, Matthew, outgrew this nifty little number so Copeland inherited it. I, of course, added the much needed work boots. It was too cute to see Cope in this outfit because all she could say is, "I'm goin' huntin' with Daddy"! She even took her pow-pow (little pink metal gun). When they got back from our farm so told me she "pow-powed" two deer! She's been around too many hunters because she didn't even see a deer according to Josh! :) She was ready though....and cute as a button.

Trick or Treat

Copeland had a great time watching Josh carve our THREE pumpkins. We had to get three because Copeland said we needed "one for Daddy, one for Momma and one for me". How do you say no to that?
This is Copeland's pumpkin. She wouldn't put that thing down.
Here are the pumpkins in all their glory. From left to right: Josh, Cope, and me.
Copeland was Little Red Riding Hood this year. Isn't she adorable?!
Look at her rocking the red tights! LOVE IT! Happy Halloween y'all.

This is why I don't let her go to the bathroom by herself...Josh

Copeland is doing great at the whole tee-teeing in the potty thing. However, she has a little problem getting the toilet paper off the roll. Therefore, I don't let her go potty be herself. Her Daddy let her....and just look at all that paper on the floor! All I could do was laugh!! To get the paper off the roll she holds the free end and just drops the roll to the floor. Needless to say....I take her to the potty now! :)

It's Fall

It's officially fall...FINALLY! I love the cooler weather...except for that whole not being able to breathe thing. Anyway...here is a new picture of Copeland from last weekend before church. She is the single most amazing thing that has ever happened to me. I am beyond blessed to have her as my daughter. Thanks you Lord! I'm going to try to update the site a little more frequently as time allows. As you all know Josh is back in school full-time. He drives to Tuscaloosa every day (hush Duncan--yes my money is going to UA). I am half way done with my BSN...just this semester and three more classes to go! YEA! So between school/work/home we stay extremely busy. However, I am going to try to do better because this is the only way some of you get to "see" us every day. This is for you Mimi...our prayers are with y'all. We love you!

I Love Tights!!!

Seriously! Tights are the single most important fashion accessory right now for Copeland...and I love it! These are the cutest things ever! We also have a pair form Gymboree that are off-white with pumpkins on them. You cannot tell me that isn't adorable. If you do...poo on you! :) Here is Copeland just being her fabulous self one day before we went shopping...for more tights! :)

Bass Pro Shop Outing

It's not THAT much money Santa.....
See...it's just my size...Please?!
Copeland isn't quite sure about this chair. Something is off...oh yeah...it's like a big nest. No thanks!
Copeland and my two precious nephews (Josh--6 on the left and Matthew--4 on the right). They are Copeland's favorite people! She says..and I quote..."Josh and Matthew are my boys". How sweet is that?

Sweet Family Picture

Here we are after church one Sunday morning. I guess some of you didn't know I got my hair cut. It is hard to see in this picture, but it's pretty short...and I LOVE IT!!! Oh..I know Copeland is wearing white, but I promise this picture was taken well before Labor Day...so back off! :)

Who does Copeland look more like?

Saturday, August 18, 2007

Do I have something on my face?

We spent the day with Nana and Pop (my parents) today. Copeland managed to find Nana's make-up drawer. The first thing she grabbed was the darkest lipstick she could find! I almost fell out laughing at her!!! :)

Just kickin' it on the kitchen floor....

Copeland wanted us to take our picture one night while I was cooking. She thought we needed to sit on the floor to adequately capture the moment!
Cope and Daddy

Buckethead

Copeland thought it would be a good idea to put her sand bucket on her head on the way to her babysitter's house. Too funny!

Playtime with the Wilsons

This is our niece, Faith Wilson. She is the middle child of Josh's sister, Jennifer, and her husband, Norman. She is quite the drama queen! She decided to strike this pose for me to capture.
Copeland decided she could strike the same pose as Faith. I think Faith has a little more 'tude than Cope does!
This is Caroline. She is Jennifer and Norman's youngest child. Caroline is exactly two months and one week younger than Copeland.

Fun at McDonald's

This was the first time I let Copeland play in the jungle gym at McDonald's. I normally see these type of things as a big germ pool, but she had so much fun I couldn't deny her! Needless to say, I went home and scrubbed her until she was red!!! :)

Poor Poor Josh

Copeland is really into princess things right now. Here is Princess Copeland and Pirate Daddy. I've told Josh a million times he better start praying for a son next time or he is totally doomed. Although my Daddy handled two girls and a wife really well.

Just another Saturday doing laundry...

It had been just another Saturday doing laundry until Copeland decided to crawl inside her frog hamper. Her mind is always working! :)

Go State!!!

I'm sure everyone has heard the Michael Vick joke by now...so out of spite I let Copeland wear this yeaterday to church!!! The joke is...Did you hear MS State fired Coach Croom? They hired Michael Vick in his place because if he can't get those dogs to fight no one can. Ha Ha.....

Anniversary Party

Copeland had a great time being with the Covington side of the family...all 8 cousins that were there!
This is my little cousin Marlee. For those of you that know my family...Marlee is Robin's youngest daughter. She is just too cute for words. She got into a fight with her high chair and the chair won as you can see.

Can we say grocery store feet? After we finished eating Copeland decided she needed to take off her shoes and run barefoot in the parking lot.

Copeland took this picture. As you can tell...she was hungry! That is my sister, Stacy, in the background.

This picture is of my precious grandparents. Josh and I are blessed to share the same anniversary as Mammaw and Pappaw. However, they have a few years on us...on July 24 they celebrated their 64th anniversary! They are too too cute! :)
